Dimension lines

I'm trying to use the dimension line in the variables stencil for
marking a diagram. The only problem I'm having is the line keeps
giving me measurements like 18 271/576" . I'd like to be able to
constrain it to 1/8" or 1/16" increments if possible.

Any ideas?

Thanks, Heath

Hello Heath,

Have you tried the Grid inspector? You can set up grid lines as far
apart as you like, and turn on the "Snap to Grid" checkbox to make
sure everything fits.

That generally did the trick. Sometimes it's a bit finicky but I've
managed to get sizes that make sense. Now I can do my drawing properly.

Thanks, Heath

I liked dealing with decimal dimensions, rather than fractions, as in
previous versions of Graffle. Is there any way to set this
preference in the current version?

Thanks,
Chris

Hallo Chris,

OmniGraffle 4's ruler has a pop-up menu where you can select the
units for the canvas. One of the units is "decimal inches", which
seems like it might do the trick for you.
